Can’t hear properly? Is your wax buildup visible? But don't want to poke your ears out?

People have started to realise that cotton swabs aren’t supposed to be used in your ears!

And the realization has brought attention to problems associated to earwax buildup as “Untreated buildup can lead to hearing loss, irritation, pain in the ear, dizziness, ringing in the ears and other problems”.

So proper products for dealing with earwax have exploded in popularity this year, so we decided to buy 2024’s best selling ear wax removers to see how well they perform in our tests.

Our testing revealed that paying for expensive chemicals and medical prescriptions can often be a waste of money. To our surprise, our test winner was actually from a smaller company that managed to beat the competition in both effectiveness, ease of use, safety, and pricing.

Here’s our Top 5 Picks this year, with a full review of our top pick at the bottom of the page:

We Bought & Tested The Most Popular Ear Wax removers, Here’s Why Tvidler is #1

SUMMARY: In testing we found that Tvidler was perfectly safe and easy to operate, while also doing the best job at removing earwax without creating a mess. The silicon soft tip is so well designed to remove any excess wax while still keeping a thin layer on the ear canal to protect it from infections.

They are currently offering 50% off first orders on their website here.

UPDATE - Tvidler is currently sold out in retail stores nationwide. However, they may still be available on their website HERE.

I’ve had problems with my ears since I was a kid. I used to get infections and hearing loss every summer when swimming and getting water in my ears.

So I was used to a lot of different treatments done by my mother to reduce wax.

We did some candle burning and I also remember getting fluids in my ear that I thought was so nasty and traumatic that I even to this day can’t stand water in my ears.

When I grew up I maintained my ears by myself until I one day learned about the dangers of using cotton swabs, fortunately I can still hear, but the pain made me quit the cotton tips forever.

The problem is that I know I sometimes have earwax visible in my ear, which is so extremely embarrassing.

So I've accepted having to go to the doctor every once in a while to get help with keeping my ears in shape. Because I will not have my wife having to wake up next to me with that fluid dripping out of my ears, I would never put her up to that.

So yeah, this assignment was interesting to me, perhaps some alternatives would allow me to take care of everything from home safely, by myself.

First Impression

So I got Tvidler almost immediately after ordering it, and by immediately I mean two days.

Which is pretty darn fast I will admit. Anyways, I opened the (very medical looking) box and saw the Tvidler.

This is when I realized that Tvidler might actually be able to live up to the hype.

I picked it up and it was well balanced and felt absolutely great in my hand.

A slight weight to it, yet easy to handle.

Design

It was obvious how Tvidler works by looking at it.

The tip is a soft silicon screw that is rigid enough to pull out wax but soft enough to protect your ear canal and eardrum.

The main body of the Tvidler was amazingly well designed, and I really enjoyed the feel of the silicon screw top as I pinched it between my fingers.

The base of the screw is also wide enough that it prevents you from pressing it too deep.

And above all. By shoving this in your ear and rotating it as the arrow points, you simply can’t fail...

How it works

Well it might seem obvious, but there is more to it the one might know.

Yes it works like a drill, and yes it has the right balance of rigidness to be able to drill and the softness to be gentle and completely safe.

But what I didn’t know however was that removing ALL of your earwax is bad for you!

And Tviders design takes this into consideration.

Why is it bad to remove ALL the wax?

First of all the body produces earwax for a reason, to protect the particularly sensitive skin of the ear canal from infection.

Did you know that earwax has anti-inflammatory properties?

So leaving a thin coating inside your ear is very important.

What about cotton tips?

Cotton tips aren't only dangerous as they can cause punctures, but their dry and rough texture will scrape and remove all wax, leaving you vulnerable, especially if you get water in your ear after completely removing all of the wax.

Note how cotton actually looks like glasfiber or steelwhool when magnified, so it’s not hard to imagine how it removes all the wax and actually roughens up the skin, further exposing it to infection.

So what about solvents?

Well as you can imagine, a solvent will be extremely effective at removing all of the earwax and leaving the skin in the ear canal exposed.

It is for the same reason you don’t want to use dishwater on a cast iron skillet. It completely removes the protective layer of oil that prevents rust from forming.

Why is Tvidler any different?

Tvidler silicon screw is quite similar to a rubber spatula.

Rubber and silicone spatulas are perfect for pouring batter and scraping it into a pan without scraping.

An even better example is if you want to spread a thin layer of chocolate onto a layer of batter without disturbing the batter, a silicon spatula will gently slide above, spreading the chocolate but not scratching through the batter.

Tvidler has the same property, it can scrape without scratching.

Best of all, there’s no mess to clean up!

Testing

After reading up on how safe and medically superior Tvidler was I felt reassured and quite excited.

I simply jammed the Tvidler into my ear and started rotating it.

I will NOT tell you about any gross details, but I will tell you that I had no idea that there was so much room inside my ears!

I mean, the quantity removed kind of scared me.

Have I been packing that deeper and deeper for all these years?

I kept on screwing, washing it, screwing, washing.

I did it again and again, it never seemed to stop!

Even though I felt so incredibly relieved to finally get it all out!

Something quite scary also happened.

As I left the bathroom, feeling excited, I soon realized I heard this clicking noise.

I panicked, had damaged my eardrum after all?

I thought it was the sound of my pulse that tapped against the eardrum.

But then It hit me, it was the sound of my kitchen clock!

Then tears fell down my face, I didn’t even try to hold them back.

I hadn’t heard that sound for years.

I’ve actually been living with the fear of having to accept that I might be going deaf...

I don't know if you can relate but I haven't heard crickets for ages.

But let me tell you, I can hear them again!

Conclusion: Is It Worth It?

There is no way for me to describe how happy I am with Tvidler.

The burden of ear infections is lifted from my shoulders!

The constant worry about people being disgusted by seeing wax in my ears is completely gone!

I always thought that it was me getting old, but now I can hear perfectly again!

All of these things are invaluable to me!

So you could say it's invaluable x 3, that's how much it’s worth.

Simply put, yes, it’s absolutely worth it, even if you don't have a problem with your ears, Tvidler IS the correct and best way to clean your ears!

And if you’re somehow still on the fence about it, don’t worry, Tvidler is such a superior product that you get a 30 day money back guarantee as proof that you won’t regret it.

There is ONE problem that has occurred and why you should know about it.

The problem with Tvidler is that it has become so increasingly popular that the manufacturer has called out that they can barely keep up with demand.

And on top of that, there is an ongoing campaign right now where they have a 50% discount!

So it's just a matter of time before they run out again.

Furthermore, there are a lot of scams and copycat versions out there trying to leech off Tvidlers success. So make sure you get yours from their official website and get them now before they run out of stock.

How Much Does It Cost?

Normally, other earwax removal tools go for up to $80 - $100, so one would expect Tvidler to be somewhere within that price range...

But actually, the Tvidler sells for only $59.90, since the founders of the company are doing everything to keep prices low.

In fact, they are even running a 50% sale on their website right now, bringing the price down to just $29.95

That’s a small price to pay for healthy, clean and protected ears!

How Can It Be So Affordable?

Other brands spend billions and billions on advertising, factories, wherhouses, and corporate infrastructure. Guess who pays for that in the end? The customer!

The Tvidler does very little advertising. They also don’t sell in any retail stores, it’s strictly online. This lets them keep the prices down as they don’t need to rent big store warehouses and have tons of staff.

Why Is It Discounted Right Now?

Tvidler was developed as a passion project, never meant to really become the big international hit that it is today.

Since the development and sales started in a small community and slowly grew because of how superior it is and not because of marketing. They soon realized that they would make more than enough profit without having to exploit the customer.

And to prove this concept even further, they said:

“The demand of our product will tell whether this is the best earwax remover ever, and in that case, we will still make a profit, even at a discount”
