First Impression
It's a small, handheld, and quite comfortable little thing. When it first arrived at my door a few days after purchasing it, I didn't think much of the box. But when I opened it up I thought: "Wow, I didn't know apple was in cosmetics."
I wasn't expecting it to be so cute and light. I always assume that the larger and heavier products are better. But even though this was light, it definitely didn't feel cheap. Quite the opposite, like apple products, It was well made, with attention to design.

Controls
When I turned it on, it made a silent humming sound, indicating that this was going to be smooth as the sound itself.
It seemed like it had enough power to get through hair pretty well. Holding it and turning the button on and off, I was pretty confident it could offer some interesting real results.
Testing
There was nothing left to do but to give it a try. I initially used it on a part of my arm just to see what would happen. I felt nothing but the tingling sensation as it blinked on my skin, but there was a clear two-inch space without any hair! I was shocked! It took just a second.
I decided that I didn't need to wait to try it out. Having tried other products recently, I was a bit worried that my regrowth would not be enough to give DermaBolt IPL a real run for its money.
But thankfully, I was wrong again. I used it over my skin quickly, moving it along my tiny spikes of hair and watching them simply disappear. There was no indication they had ever been there!
There's no stinging or burning that's so common with some of these products. On levels 1 and 2 I felt NOTHING, on level 4 I could feel a tiny tingling sensation at most. Levels 5 and 6 were more distinct but far from painful.
